Cait: JeAnne - I've been following your progress for 5 yrs and not long ago I saw your "Tim Gunn" episode & then last night I saw your "I Lost It" episode. I lost 100 lbs in 2003 & you were part of my inspiration. In the past year I've been struggling again, have gained back 30 lbs. I can't keep from compulsive overeating relying just on my WW & exercise & behavior mod tools. Losing the weight didn't end these problems. So I've joined OA online and finally have some hope & relief.

10) Not every pet owner knows how to take care of their pet...I have the power to educate without judging.

9) Little dogs bite more.

8] Not every pet coming in is going to be happy to see you - it's nothing personal and all I can do is try to create a pleasant experience for both of us.

7) Don't laugh when someone wants to have their poodle's toe nails painted.

6) There will be rough days where you see neglect...nails so long they are deforming pads and crippling pets, bald spots from a hair bow being left in for far too long, ear and skin infections from matted hair etc. Your job is to help them feel better, try to look out for them and give them a little lovin' while they are in your care.

5) There will be poop.

4) Sorry Tim Gunn, crocs are a groomer's best foot friend.

3) I am a groomer, not a pet sitter, boarder, veterinarian, trainer, behavior specialist, animal psychologist.

2) Instant gratification of a job well done is a good thing. There are far more happy pets and owners than not.
